Class 3 are studying ‘Natural Disasters’ and have been closely following news of the earthquakes in Nepal. The children felt strongly that they would like to donate to the Nepal Earthquake Appeal and organised a sponsored skip.
The event was held on Friday 29th May and the whole class (including Miss Smyth!) were seen skipping in relay for the entire morning.
Once all sponsorship money was received the children estimated how much they had raised before counting the proceeds and announcing their final total – a fantastic £824.38 !!!
Well done Class 3 – and a big thank you to parents/carers, families, friends and neighbours for your very generous sponsorship.
Children in P4 – 7 had a fantastic time at Port Edgar recently, taking part in Watersports and Mountain Biking activities. Here’s a sample of what they thought of the experience:
Lauren ” It was all amazing!”
Hannah ” I liked Paddleboarding best because we tipped a lot of people over and Evie pushed Mrs Taylor in!”
Mackenzie ” Everything was amazing!”
Daniel “I like mountain biking because we got to go on a forest trail and we had a very good instructor”
Jemma ” I got to drive the Powerboat and it went really fast!”
Corran ” I loved Powerboating because it’s fast and it’s like you are James Bond!”
Great to see the good weather, which will enable Sport’s Day to go ahead today at 1:30p.m. Hope you are able to come along and cheer on the children!
