It has been a very busy week, especially for class4.We have been away a lot of places, Vogrie Country Park for Cross Country, Hillend Ski Slope and the Prefects the staffroom. At Vogrie Country Park we were against other schools and we had to race around a course. We all had a great time running around the track in groups. Even though we didn’t win anything we still loved taking part. We got a certificate that Mr Wood announced in assembly. Everyone was pleased and proud of themselves. On Wednesday classes 3 and 4 went skiing and a lot of us are preparing for our race that is coming up. We are loving our skiing block! The Prefects had a good time on dress down Friday in the staffroom with cake! All the classes have again been working hard in their usual subjects, maths, reading, art etc.We have definitely enjoyed our week and are ready for the weekend!
This week class 4 have been doing lots of interesting work, for example we are learning about human rights at the moment and it is amazing what people have stood up for the past 100 years. We have watched the story of Emmeline Pankhurst and how she stood up for rights of women, like voting in elections.
We have also done a hard maths jigsaw in groups which is really hard but we all finished them. Jamie and Hannah had a competition on for JRSO and no one gave in or even did their entries and that let them down but they’re hoping for a better turnout next time. We also had skiing and in the last two weeks lots of people from our school have hurt themselves but they’re all ok! We are doing a novel study on the book ‘Wonder’. Furthermore we have been doing lots of fun stuff at assembly with Mr Wood. DO NOT FORGET THAT after school clubs started this week as well.
